Lost In Life

Life has a way of taking us down different roads to different adventures. This past year life took me down several different paths looking for something new.

I don't know if it was middle age crazies or what, all I know is I got sidetracked with other adventures, none of which satisfied me like my photography. In the process of chasing these other things I neglected my work as a photographer. I found myself becoming increasingly unhappy and for the life of me I didn't know why. I knew I had to find my way back to the joy I once had, so I started going over my life piece by piece trying to pinpoint when everything started to change. It finally hit me like a ton of bricks, when I put my camera down I put my joy away too.

I've picked up my camera again. It's now my steady companion wherever I go and in return my joy for life is coming back too! The old adage, you don't know what you had until it's gone, is so true.

I'm discovering new techniques again and having a wonderful time playing. Here is one of my newest works.
